From Safety Filters to Safety Case

Quantitative analysis of the safety contribution of safety filters to data-driven control

My research focuses on formal safety mechanisms for data-driven control methods – specifically safety filters and their justifiable integration into safety cases for safety-critical systems.

About me

My work bridges the gap between control engineering, automated driving, and safety engineering. I am particularly interested in how mathematical guarantees of runtime safety mechanisms can be formulated in a way that makes them usable in real-world development processes and safety arguments.
